Vineyards
OUR
Traditional Plots
Many of our vineyards were abandoned or passed down to us by fellow villagers who could no longer maintain them. These old, traditional plots, planted in goblet style and scattered across the landscape, produce grapes of exceptional quality. Everything is done by hand, with low yields but high character.
our practices
Working with Nature
We practice integrated viticulture, minimizing chemical use and working with nature as much as possible. Alongside our heritage vineyards, we are also in the process of developing new ones in the area near the winery, blending modern techniques with deep-rooted tradition.
our place
Pitsilia
All our vineyards lie in the mountainous region of Pitsilia. The altitude and cool winds allow for slower ripening and excellent acidity, essential characteristics for producing balanced, expressive wines in Cyprus.
This is more than winemaking. It’s about reviving our land, honoring our heritage, and carrying the story of Agios Theodoros Pitsilias into the future.
INTROduction TO
Agios Theodoros Terroir
Perched on the slopes of Papoutsa Mountain, Agios Theodoros Pitsilias is a village shaped by resilience. Here, winemaking has always been a labor of love, challenged by rocky soils, steep terrain, and a dry Mediterranean climate. Yet it is exactly these conditions that give our wines their depth, structure, and authenticity.
For generations, the people of Agios Theodoros Pitsilias cultivated these vineyards not as a luxury, but as a part of their daily struggle. They were not wealthy estate owners, but hardworking individuals who tended their vines in addition to their other labor. Despite the difficulties, they approached winemaking with meraki, putting their soul, passion, and care into every step of the process. Their wines were not just a source of income but also a testament to their perseverance, a reflection of both the land and the people who worked it.
